On Thursday 8th of April, we held an education event at the Royal Society of Medicine. The speakers included Dr Richard Smith, our Chairman, and me, Dr Mohammad Al-Ubaydli. Richard, as former editor of the British Medical Journal, spoke about the important of and evidence base for using new technology to allow patients to manage their health.
My talk focused on the practicalities of working in this way. Doctors worry about the clinical, social and financial changes that are necessary when using personal health records and so I presented the best practices in of independent health care in the digital age.
In attendance were the CEOs and medical directors of different clinics, including Dr Ralph Abrahams from London Medical, a private clinic in London. Ralph spoke about his reasons for becoming our first customer from a private clinic, including the ability to serve patients who live or travel abroad.
