Updating user demographics

Starting this month, patients and carers who need to change their name, date of birth, address, gender and ethnicity cannot update their demographics through the usual process by going to ‘Settings’. They will find those fields grayed out and uneditable. Instead, patients and carers need to contact their clinical teams, who will confirm the updated demographics and make the change for them.

Verifying the identities of our users is the important motivation behind this. Our registration process requires that our clinical practices confirm the identities of their patients and carers. Any change to their demographics afterwards require the clinical teams to be notified where they can make the change for patients and carers. This process ensures that clinicians are sending test results to verified users and communicating with verified users.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. PKB users who need to update their demographics can either email us at help@patientsknowbest.com or contact their clinical teams directly.
