Patients Know Best receives investment from OMRON Ventures to further accelerate growth

Patients Know Best announced today that it has received a strategic investment from OMRON Ventures, the venture capital arm of the OMRON group. OMRON’s healthcare business is a global leader in blood pressure monitors and other medical devices.

OMRON Ventures led an equity investment round in Patients Know Best (PKB), which was supported by existing investors including Balderton Capital.

Patients Know Best collects patient data from healthcare providers and shares it quickly, safely and effectively to give patients, carers and care teams immediate access to vital information like appointment letters, care plans, medication lists, test results, allergies and details of previous attendances and discharge summaries.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in PKB’s history. Since its launch in 2010, PKB has become the leading provider of personal health records in the UK, and is currently in use at more than 60 hospitals in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany. This investment is set to accelerate the company’s rapid business growth globally and further diversify its digital platform.
